Skate: Monster Island Skateboard Contest.
The boys from Monster Island will be hosting the skateboard contest at Board Up Miami. The mini ramp event is scheduled for Friday April 9th at 7pm the street contest will be held Saturday April 10th at 1pm.
Surf: Today World Premier of Donavan Frankenreiter’s new Music Video on Fuel TV.
Chris Cote is in the studio with Verizon Wireless team rider and free surfing Renaissance Man Donavon Frankenreiter. Plus, they’ve got the World Premiere of Donavon’s new music video and a special live performance of an old classic by the man himself. Donavon Frankenreiter’s sponsors include: Verizon, Billabong, Sanuk, VonZipper, DOC Surf Prescriptions, Cordoba Guitars, and Coors Light.

Surf:
On June 9, 2008, Derek Dunfee severely broke two bones in his foot while surfing Cloudbreak in Fiji. Derek underwent surgery, installing pins, screws, and metal plates into his leg two days later. On Nov 20, 2008, only 5 months after the career threatening injury, Derek caught the winning Billabong XXL paddle-in wave at Maverick’s. Recently, a short documentary on what happened during those 5 months was posted, showing Derek determined to get back into the water.
