Construction updates for Colorado skateparks from Team Pain
Team Pain recently posted a bunch of updates from the upcoming Arvada, CO and Northglenn, CO park projects. The crew has built a slew of awesome Colorado parks in the past year, and they’re promising to up the creativity factor with the Arvada park, calling it, “one of the most creative street sections, EVER.”
From Team Pain.com: Construction is finally underway at the Arvada, Colorado Skatepark! This is going to be one of the most fun parks to skate in all of CO! The big bowl, replicating the Charleston Hangar in South Carolina, is the first section that is being started. Not only will this park have some amazing transition, it will have one of the most creative street sections ever!

Meanwhile, Northglenn is well on its way as some adobe-colored concrete has been poured and some good looking transitions are starting to take shape:

Enter Volcom's "Stone Your Boardies" and design a pair of Volcom boardshorts

For all of you artistically-inclined (and those who aren’t), getting to design your own piece for Volcom Clothing is an opportunity you can’t pass up. Volcom’s giving you a chance to do just this with their “Stone Your Boardies” contest.
Just swing by any BC Surf & Sport and snag a blank boardies template and start painting that sucker. Crayon, paint, fabric, chewing gum . . . okay, maybe not chewing gum. Just get your design on there and send it to Joe at Volcom, with love. Dudes, ladies, and little guys are all encouraged to enter (just please don’t design any men’s hammocks.) For more information, or for a different template, check out http://www.volcom.com/stoneyourboardies9
Bob Burnquist lands the first Christ Air Backflip [Photo]
While everyone’s attention was focused squarely on NYC’s Maloof madness, Bob Burnquist was pushing skateboarding to absurd limits in Vegas. Burnquist landed the Christ Air Backflip during the first North American stop of Nitro Circus LIVE at the MGM Grand and landed it, according to sources. We’re praying for footage soon (no pun intended), so keep your eyes peeled.
