The Sector 9 Double Platinum Carbonite Longboard is a top of the line, carbonite board that is perfect for flatland/campus cruising. With a medium concave throughout the board, your foot is locked into the board. Very lightweight and responsive, set up with Sector 9 race wheels, Gullwing Stalker Trucks and Sector 9 ceramic bearings, the Carbonite might not be ideal for hardcore mountain sliders/shredders, but is a good segway into getting there.
Check it out above, and let us know what you think.
It’s available here: Sector 9 Double Platinum Carbonite Longboard – $294.99
Amy Purdy is, by far, one of the most inspirational people involved with the skateboard/snowboard industry today. With her endless drive to turn people’s disabilities into opportunities, she’s keeping the wheel rolling for anyone looking to overcome adversity.
BC Surf’s product/tech maven took a few minutes to walk us through the GoPro HERO line of cameras and accessories that put the power of an HD camera in your hands, on your helmet, on your surfboard, or anywhere you please.
If you didn’t already know, the cameras feature a ton of awesome features, including everything from still photos, time-delayed sequences, options for different conditions and much more. The GoPro HEROs are pretty budget friendly considering the quality aspects and all of the mounts included. A bunch of skate/snow pros are using these for weekly podcasts, so the quality is tested and proven.
Check out the lineup at BCSurf.com. We recommend the GoPro Helmet HERO for $269.99
Seriously . . . how many tricks can one person fit into a contest run? When you’re Dennis Busenitz, apparently you can fit around 25 or so. Ridiculous. Check out his winning contest run below, and then grab a pair of his Onyx Adidas before they’re sold out.
